"Green's Grand Opening Celebration"
What started as a small shop in Downtown San Diego, has become one of the most sought after floral companies. To kick off the 4-day celebration of their official grand opening, Green hosted a VIP party last Wednesday at their new shop in Hillcrest. I have been fortunate enough to work with Carlos Franco, owner, the past couple of years, and aside from being brilliant at his craft, he is always a ton of fun.

I attended the exclusive event with Grace Pavia, a bellz&whistlez bride and my cousin Myhkro’s fiancé. Being that it was my third visit, I was anxious to see Grace’s expression. She was charmed by the exterior’s quaint, cottage like appearance and as she walked through the door she screamed, “OH MY GOSH JANISSA! It’s like a magazine!”
She’s right. The new shop could easily be mistaken for a page in top publications covering weddings and interior design. It will not come to a surprise if you lose track of time as the store floods you with inspiration -- eclectic vases, out of the box containers, unique table pieces, imported goods and of course, stunningly fresh florals. It’s definitely not your typical flower shop as this place is clean, crisp, and tres moderne.

If you head towards the back of Green, you will find yourself outdoors in their patio. It's a cute spot to host a brunch, small cocktail reception, or bridal shower -- the possibilities are endless. Carlos is going to have to start charging a rental fee once word gets out!
