winter essentials :: gowns by St Pucchi

In my search for the wondrous winter wedding gown, I envision tons of crystals, brooches, pure pale whites and stark ivories, lots of lace, fur, textures, pick ups, and lots of volume. After all, it's the appropriate time to wear a lush, heavily adorned cascade of luxe materials, right? Who cares about carrying an extra ten pounds? You're a diva, and though it's chilly, you know you want to make a daring, exclusive statement on your cool, winter wonderland wedding day. Dreamy? Yes. Full of drama? Yes. Purely elegant? Yes. Let's turn to the hands of Rani Totman, couture designer and fabricator for St. Pucchi.

Born to Thai and Indian parents, Rani Totman grew up with a unique, cultural upbringing. She was also born into a family that owned the largest lace manufacturing company in Thailand (yes, I'm jealous already). From her interest for materials and curiosity with shaping fabric to fit any body, Rani took a leap of faith and started her own tailoring business at the young age of 20 yrs old. Her skills were beyond that of any normal seamstress; they gave her the ability to design couture evening gowns and eventually led to the creation of her three lines of fantasy-like wedding gowns for St. Pucchi.*

These dresses from the 2009 St. Pucchi Couture line are fit for any queen. Yes, I'm talking about you.

Incorporating an Old World feel to her couture line with daring bustles, extravagant trains, drop-dead gorgeous appliqués, beading, and crystals, Totman infuses love into every design. Just see for yourself.
