love is in the air :: invitations!

You saw the save-the-dates. Check out the invitation! Staying away from a modern feel, fancy metallic papers, luxe crystal embellishments, and ornate graphic elements, Francis and Eunice envisioned a much more simple invitation to go with their 1940s vintage aviation theme. We designed a single card mounted on green paper and accompanied it with a matching "Daily Flight" insert and RSVP card. And by wrapping the entire ensemble with green satin ribbon, it gives off the impression that it's a package. We also had the invitation cards 2-color letterpress printed on thick 220LB cotton rag paper AND didn't skip out on the matching cotton envelopes (those are letterpress printed, too!) -- a really nice bonus to the invitation, and also reminiscent of the printing technique of the vintage era. I love the tactile nature of letterpress printing.

(I photoshopped their street addy out for privacy reasons)

Notice their creative logo? We put on our hard hats to think of this one -- a biplane carefully illustrating "f+e!" In a way, the brush stroke creates a cloud-like appearance. :)

Keep posted. Francis and Eunice's wedding is just on the horizon and we've got much more to show you. This wedding is going to show you what it means to really capture all the bellz & whistlez!!
