D+K's rockin' wedding :: photos by Atrero Photography

Atrero Photography does it again. The B&W team was so amazed at the entire album of shots -- from the creative compositions, to the dramatic play on lighting, to showcasing every intricate detail that evolved from twelve months of planning, we had a difficult time narrowing the photos down. This post has over 30 photos of Denise and Kris' rockin' wedding -- all of which you will enjoy!

Last year, D+K approached B&W to execute one-year design+invitations+coordination for their wedding at the Hard Rock Hotel (Feb 2011). Denise was actually the MoH for Eunice Arenas' (vintage military wedding April '10) wedding and was referred to B&W by the bride and groom. This extremely organized bride gave us a clear synopsis of what she had in mind; we knew right off the bat, we were going to be working with a bride and groom who had everything pretty much in line early on in the planning process -- an important part of what contributed to the success of the planning.

Working with a bold color palette of purple, tangerine, and silver, we knew this color selection would match perfectly with the interior of the HRH's Legends Ballroom. We created several design boards exploring different visual concepts, but the one that D+K selected incorporated a very modern, minimalist design, with Denise's preference of tight pomander centerpieces, clean tablescapes, modern paper goods, and the use of plexiglass. With the help of FloralWorks, the décor and flowers were perfectly introduced into the space and its dramatic appeal. Check out the Hilton tables -- clear Chiavari chairs surround a jumbo sized table that sat a whopping 18 guests! Another small, but effective detail hung as a backdrop to the sweethearts table -- a few of the B&W team spent 1.5 hrs putting together two custom plexiglass flower panels using white hydrangeas and aqua tubes. HRH rigged these to hang just above the couple, creating a frame, and FloralWorks placed uplights directly onto the panels to add dimension.

Something that stood out about this wedding was D+K's attire selection -- they both came dressed in formal attire, but with lots of glamour -- Denise's side swooped hair-do, plus her chic fur shawl, and layered bracelet, along with her gorgeous gown made her the center of attention. And you can see just how stunning everything came together in these photos.
