classic lavender and sage wedding invitations for H&M

I can't wait for May 12th--it's the day one of my BFF's will marry her best friend, Matt. I have the honor of standing as her Matron of Honor, though I am so nervous to give my first wedding toast/speech!

In any case, I posted H&M's classic save-the-date design last week, which was flat printed on card stock and accompanied by a lavender envelope with custom address labels. For her invitation, we kept with the same theme, keeping the concept simple and tasteful, while giving the overall look a slight vintage-esque design, and classic style. The design of this wedding is soft, feminine, and of-the-times, meaning it's going to evoke a sweet and romantic feel honoring a wedding that may have been reminiscent of a 50s wedding. The Darlington House is the perfect setting for this type of design, and I am so excited to see everything come together.

Here is H&M's save-the-date.

Below are the matching wedding invitations which were printed offset on pearlescent metallic card stock with a custom vellum belly band to seal the ensemble.

m+d's save the date magnet :: crimson red+damask

Simple in concept, yet elegant in design, Michelle and Derrick's save the dates are the perfect teaser for their lovely wedding in July. Atrero Photography provided the oh-so-modern snapshot of the two under a bridge. I love the lighting, composition, and styling of this particular photo.

We love wrap around labels -- easy breezy design and totally functional! These have a light silver damask print in the background to tie into the design of the magnet.

classic lavender and sage save-the-dates for H&M

And the one-month countdown begins! H&M are tying the knot on May 12th. It's a special occasion for Cyril and I since the bride, Hazel, is our best friend since childhood. We can't be more happy for her and Matt, her sweetly shy, handsome, and friendly fiancée. They are going to get married at the oldest church in California,* Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcalá. For a change, Cyril and I won't be facilitating an itinerary on the day of, but we will be supporting our best friend as matron and maid of honor. We are sooo honored! The lovely reception will take place at the Darlington House in La Jolla, and 150+ guests will have the privilege of celebrating with such a hard working and sweet couple. Showcased below are the classic save-the-dates we designed. We've been working all year (design+invitations+coordination) to help H&M execute a classic and subtle 50s theme using shades of lavender and sage. These paper goods are just a snippet of what's to come. Stay tuned!

E+F's military vintage themed wedding {04.10.10} :: featherlove photography

Two years have flown by since Eunice and Fro were hitched at St. Rita's Church and celebrated with 370 guests at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. I've been waiting for the perfect time to put this sweet and funny couple in the spotlight, and today's the day.

Happy Anniversary, Eunice and Fro! It was such a pleasure working with you and also getting to know you as a couple. We will always remember your truly creative, hands-on, and super fun celebration. It's an honor to know we were selected to get down and dirty with your original, military vintage theme, carrying out lots of personal touches from the invitations, to the table design, cool military package favors, and even the custom painted photo backdrop -- we really covered all the bellz & whistlez! And we won't forget the on-point production and execution of dope music and emceeing -- one of the best by far. And though the days of getting on the phone to chat about wedding cakes, invitations, and details are long gone, we can now share our conversations about our new li'l boys. Congratulations on your adorable addition, li'l Francis Mateo. And Fro, we are honored to have you join the B&W crew.
